Ok, this has nothing to do with journalism, but it's too cool: a 5D MkII mounted on a radio control helicopter. According to a post on dvinfo.net by Tabb Firchau, "The copter is a custom version of the minicopter joker (minicopter.de) with a copterworks camera gimbal (copterworks.com)."
it was cool but the price is still pretty high. do you think a radio shack copter and a flip would work?

It's not my video - it's by Tabb Firchau. He's got a blog about it, and some other cool videos.

Chuck love the views and the creativeness and the skill you have on flying and the music chosen, was interested in the name of artist by which you choose the music and the title of the song.Woud it be possible to tell me. Thanks. Makes one want to go buy a model chopper and start learning.

As someone who has flown with Paul B and his Hughes 500 (and previous helicopters) for almost 25 years, I can tell you the biggest advantage of the R/C helicopter is that that there is no Papa Bravo to give you guff and to provide unsolicited direction for the photographer and/or videographer.
