Matte or glossy screen for Mac laptop?

About to buy new Mac laptop, and would like to know whether matte or glossy screen is best for video.

I don't think you have a choice anymore. The new screens are glossy.

I'm getting 17" (for various reasons), and it has matte option.

Also, will be doing both stills and video, and should have asked which is better for both. But I have a good external monitor for stills, so would like to know if one type has a clear advantage for video.

Finally, thanks again for your help and your work on this site. It is terrific.

I recently got a new 17" also and took the matte option. I asked the Apple biz rep about it and she said colors are more true on the matte. It looks great to me. Plus, I never could stand trying to work in daylight with my former glossy-screen one.
