from dead trees to moving pictures

Camera tripod and Microphones aside.

I have
wide angle lens
at least 2 spare XLR cables
gaffer / electrical tape
cable ties
leatherman type tool with pliers
pencils and paper ( pencils write in the rain)


what else do you have / recomend

rain cover...
mic stand or clamp...
plan "b" mic (if wireless dies or there's inteference, have a cable and a mic to plug in)...
spare ear buds/headphones to use when you left your primary ones in with laptop...
something to white balance on...

very small little tripod (about 6") for when I use the HV20 for a second angle, small penlight/flashlight, clothes pegs and drying shammy.

Mini tripod. that's a really good idea.
I was thinking about a mini monopod or,
(have you seen the piece of string with a washer stabaliser that was being spoken of?)

I must get a rain cover but they are big bucks in the UK. A kata CRC-14 is like $140
yes, I know the camera is worth alot but I really have spent enough already. Anyhow, it gives me a good excuse not to shoot in the rain. ;-)

What are the pegs for? smelly jobs?

To hold coloured gels in place on lights....but hey I guess they could come in handy for smelly jobs too.
